1962-63 Leafs Signed Stick

Here it is, the pride of the collection. 1962-63 Maple Leafs autographed stick. This was obtained back then by my father. He got it from an uncle of his who apparently was the "barber of the Leafs". It's not a game-used stick, it was made solely for autographing...these are real signatures of some of the greats of all-time. Frank Mahovlich, Johnny Bower, Dave Keon, Red Kelly, George Armstrong and Punch Imlach. The rarest signature of them all would have to be Tim Horton pictured above at the top right.
Below the stick in the lower photo is cards from that era of the eighteen of players on the stick.

I have the exact same stick as you do!!! 1962 season. And as a bonus I have Hewitt written in captial letters (in pencil) at the top of the shaft. It also came with a signed vintage hockey bag as well. Family friend entrusted it to me for safe-keeping as she knew I was a huge Leafs fan and appreciated hockey history and its artifacts.

We have a similar stick, given to us by a hockey coach. It has no logos, but hand printed in black pen the namename "Lou" and two stamps"LEFT" and "6.1". It has black cloth tape on a straight blade and white cloth tape over black tape at the top.
Its signed by: Punch Imlach, Tim Horton, Frank Mahovolich, Dave Keon, John Bower, Carl Brewer, Bob Pulford, Ed Shack and all the rest of the team.
What year is it from and what do we do with it? It needs serious restoration.

Mine has no tape on it. This stick was made solely for signing. Mine is from 62/63 season, sounds like same as yours. I was lucky, my Dad covered it with a coating of shellac way back in the day, still looks great.
